ARE YOU TAKING FULL ADVANTAGE OF THE SERVICES & FUNDING AVAILABLE TO HELP YOUR BUSINESS?
If your business is struggling you may be able to get a business grant either from the government, local authorities or other private companies. A grant is a sum of money awarded to a company to help with its growth and development and unlike a loan does not need to be repaid. Here are some pointers to help you find and apply for grants:
o Make enquiries with your local authority
o Browse websites of grant providers and register for updates
o Grants usually only cover a percentage of the costs you require for your project
o Research and understand the reasons why grants are being offered
England is divided into local authorities and these authorities have partnered with local private sector businesses to form local Enterprise Partnership’s (LEP’s). LEP’s are a central component to the local economy and have their own pool of money for allocation to grants, training and other funding for businesses. Each LEP has a branch partnership, called a growth hub which is dedicated to helping businesses overcome any barriers they may face in trying to grow and improve.
